Janic Bebi works as a visual artist for opera, theater, and performance at the intersection of various visual media (3D, film, AI-video-art).

 

After several years as a video creator and camera operator for various cultural institutions (including Berliner Ensemble, Komische Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Stuttgart, VRHAM! Festival), Janic Bebi assisted at the Bayreuther Festspiele and the Deutsche Oper Berlin, among others. During this time, Janic Bebi also developed their own artistic productions, including projects at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (HfMT), and within the independent scene.

 

Janic Bebi maintains ongoing collaborations with Manuel Braun, Jonas Dahl, and the artistic team of director Tobias Kratzer (including at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opéra de Paris, and Teatro Regio di Torino), as well as with director Matthias Piro.
